The spiritual peak of existing fully within the concerns of the present. Ignited senses, tended to with the excitement of a child experiencing something for the first time. We view our surroundings with long-forgotten wonder and sudden curiosity.
It reminds us of a younger self who was allowed to dream the extravagant, the crazy and the daring. This sense of awakening triggers dormant sides of us foreign and yet familiar. Sometimes this change is as fleeting as the time-lapse of our vacation. Leaving us only with wholehearted smiles in our photographs.
But, then again, there are those places that revive and rewire our whole system. A sense of self-awareness that dares to ask us the bigger questions in life. The ones we have neatly tucked behind the doorways of a never-becoming more convienant time.
